1100 Breva vs 1200 Breva

The sport usually has flatter tubular bars rather than cast ones, wavy brake discs and a carbon look exhaust plus a few small detail changes in addition to the seat cowl any handle bar fairing

The breva’s gearbox is a lot smoother than the Beemer, they do vibe a bit but not that you notice, if you want a sport, just buy a 1200 sport,
They seem to have the weight much lower down as well!

The clock mod does work, and only takes a little time, early under an hour for me!

I agree with Brian the 1200 I rode for an hour or so was incredibly smooth and to be fair the V11 Le mans does NOT vibe at the bars NOR does the 1976 V1000 so yeah something very very wrong if they rattle yer theeth or hands.

Any vibes are just enough to blur the mirrors now and again and that’s about it really. Yes not as s moooth(boring) as a four but no where near as vibey as an American V Twin A harley rattles yer eyeballs at some speeds as do Ducati’s

Hi there,
I think I bought the Moto Guzzi Breva 1100 Edizone Sport from Swindon you mentioned. Very pleased with it. It is how the bike came from new a 2007 edition which looked like the 1200 sports

Regards Martin

Enjoy yer Guzzi Martin and welcome to the forum…tis worth joining the club…good bunch…

Thanks for the welcome. I must say I REALLY have the bug!! Bare with me to navigate the forum and use it correctly

Could you explain to me about the forum and the club, what the benefits are with joining the club and how much does that cost. Thankssilverbullet2014-02-27 19:02:03

The Guzzi Club is very proactive, loads of branches, meets and events, its a big community and probably because of the nature of the bikes, resource and humour are a given…
Contact Uki (memsec) for membership details, she is currently trying to align renewals to December so that the work for her is in the close season and means that she as a keen motorcyclist can have some fun too !
The Guzziclub mag is a benchmark publication, am in Dookati owners club as well, but am afraid Desmo is nowhere near as good as Gambalunga…
read up on this Marque 'tis amazing…guykate2014-02-27 20:35:50

Thanks for the info, I will look in to Guzzi Club membership.

If you are planning to buy a rear seat cowl for your Breva to make it look more like a 1200 sport be prepared , it doesn`t come cheap.
Rear cowl approx. £174
The white flashings are stickers :---- £16 each ( extra if you prefer to add Italian flag tri-colour {8v models} )
Plus laquer spray finish.

Thanks!

It looks indistinguishable from a 2007 Sports, It is an Edizione Sports Breva 1100.

Would like to attach an image, how is this done?

Never buy the Guzzi decals they are WAY too expensive heck for the italiced “Le mans” They were asking £50+ I got identical ones made by “The image makers” for alot less like £20 for 2 sets plus some other eagle designs, well worth contacting them

Thanks for the advice

If you plan fitting a 12S cowl check the Breva seat fitted has the attachment points underneath. Otherise you’ll have to fabricate some kind of retainer.

Underneath the 12S seat is a hole each side underneath with captive nut. It’s found on the edge of the seat pan (underneath) above where the passenger grab handle sits. The seat cover is pulled away to reveal this hole/nut on a 12S seat.

The cowl is held in place with 2x allen bolt and plastic bushing

I will try to post picture of the mounting point.

Breva 1100. Best bit if biking fun I’ve had after living with ‘big Japanese fours’ for years. Had to learn the art of gears again and the art of going slower, but loving every minute. Did develop an oil leak, but an easy fix.

Attracts the on-lookers like no previous bike I’ve had.

Another vote for the Breva 1100. Absolutely love it after years of riding fast on fast bikes. Anyway, the looks, the sound, the comfort and it handles and stops pretty well too. Riding at a slower pace is actually ok too

Hi

Anyone know
when they stopped producing or selling the Breva 1200?

I’ve seen
one offered for sale as brand new, but I thought they stopped making them a
while ago?

I think there are a few Brevas in dealers that haven’t yet been sold or even registered, and therefore are for sale as new bikes.
