Cali' 111 headlight

Appendix ~ how did I know all this, I mean can’t see the tail light from the saddle can I? Because, I had mate following me and stopping me each time: “You’ve lost your rear light!” … “It’s back on again, but brighter! Are you using the brake light instead?” … “It’s gone again!”

Light output versus voltage in. I found this table. 10.5V : 510 lumens11.0V : 597 lumens11.5V : 695 lumens12.0V : 803
lumens12.5V : 923 lumens12.8V : 1000 lumens 13.0V : 1054 lumens13.5V : 1198 lumens14.0V
: 1356 lumens ←Rated life voltage14.5V : 1528
lumensSo you can see that if you drop from 12.5 to 11.5 volts you are dropping the light output by about a third. Bear in mind that the voltage when the engine is running should be nearer 13.5v.

Out in the complete dark tonight, bloody hell, really surpised at how good this headlight is.

That is the sort of headlight I was talking about with reflector and a proper lens. A massive improvement on the plastic angled reflector and clear lens, It is what I have put on the V11 Le mans as the clear lens was just awful on the unlit back roads to home. The older style lamp lights up the road as it should…Good Job great link too.
