Hi guys, a club member has snapped his gear lever trying to engage 1st after a short lay up. It appears that the external linkage has seized, so if you own one it might be an idea to lube the linkage if you notice the gear change getting stiffer.
Blimey…that’ll be cos its new and doesn’t leak oil !

How extreme. Never had a leak in that area however I would oil (or grease on reassembly if been dismantled) the moving bits fairly regular.
Broke the pedal - yowsers.
