Has anyone else noticed this ..?

Each time I come onto this site, everything seems to be normal … When I log on to the forum, my browser shows a notification that states this part of the site is “not secure” … Am I to be concerned … or not … Is this notification seen by all …? I am using a recently updated Microsoft Chromium browser … Regards, Tony

I’m not concerned. I make it a rule never to post my passwords or bank details in the forum.

I get that too, I think it is because the forum is hosted on Gus’ own server.

You probably have upgraded to Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser but not Google Edge or Microsoft Chromium

I’m sure the forum’s cyber integrity is as robust as the engineering and finish on modern Guzzi.

I am hoping to be in contact with a very “tech savvy” friend of mine this weekend… I’m certain he will have a definitive answer … I shall report back … Regards, Tony

My report back, as promised … My clever friend remotely looked at my laptop, and put to rest any concerns I had … All addresses, in the bar at the top of the page, used to start with http … now the new standard is https … Whether using Google or Microsoft, both systems are, at their core, virtually identical … This is just so minor, it is not worth worrying about … My concerns are well and truly put to rest … He even managed to talk me through the process of uninstalling a rather “pesky” add-on anti-virus product that Microsoft keep trying to “sneak” into my laptop, every now and then … Regards, Tony

Cheers Tony. Worthwhile information.
Thanks to your friend too.
All the best
Steve

Oi …! Kevin … Just who are you calling an “anorak” …? Me, or my clever friend …??? If I didn’t know you better, I would think that this is one of your attempts at humour … A good one though …!! ( I think the current term, in “yoof-speak”, is LOL … or LMAO … I would attach a smiley face as well, but, the sleeves of the anorak I’m currently wearing are so long, they are hiding half of the keyboard, and making it difficult to t.,pe …!! Regards, Tony

If the cap fits . . . . .
