On my recent run to Mandello I met a very helpful Dutch chap, who has a truly lovely LM1, which he is selling. On his behalf,

Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans 1, 2nd type with plastic black tail light.

Build in 1978, sold in 1982 (old stock at the Guzzi Import company) 3rd owner, 86.400 km’s.

full restauration in 1984 and carefully maintained it since than.

Extra’s are the Lafranconi competition mufflers and oil temparature and pressure gauges in a Veglia cockpit housing on the top plate of the front fork.

Recent full maintenance job, all oils, filters, sparkplugs, braking pads, valve adjustment and 2 new tyres front and back.

Since then covered 2600 km’s, Mandello and back.

Price is discussable, around €13k euro.

Nice LeMans Series 2 - I have the same - a ‘78. Also looking to sell but too far away. Hoping to get around $17k U.S. Good luck with the sale : )

From my own experience of buying from abroad recently-

Being over 30 yrs old, if imported into the UK it only attracts 5% vat and zero tariffs. This still makes this bike worth considering.

However the £ to € rate might put you off a little.

It was 1.22 € to the pound back in April!

I seriously considered buying it myself, cosmetically, it’s nicer than mine.

But I’d have had to find a suitable place to put it. MrsD was not keen on it hanging on the lounge wall.
