Hope someone can help 
When I kickstart the bike if it doesn’t start first kick the kickstart locks up and will be difficult to shift - I have to put it into gear, rotate the rear wheel to take it over the compression stroke and this will free up the kickstart. It locks just when the inlet valve is about to open
Run out of ideas any suggestions

Hi Kevin,
I don’t have a Lodola but I’ve been thinking about your problem. From the symptoms that you describe I suspect that there is a damaged tooth on the crankshaft pinion that meshes with the clutch. ( I’m assuming the Lodola has a similar arrangement to my Aermacchi ). As I see it, that is the only thing that would cause it to only, and always, lock up at the same point in the cycle.
