mag timing an airone

hi anyone any idea how to check the mag timing on an 1952 Airone?
there is no obvious marks on the mag gear wheel, someone has put painted marks on the other two gears wheels.

any help appreciated

You would be better joining the Google Guzzi singles group and asking on there. There is a wealth of information from some very knowledgable people on the older singles. Most participants are American, but we won’t hold that against them.
