Yes, nice bike.
As long as they are seemless they won’t be a problem for the panniers.
I fitted my silencers back in 1989 when I bought the Spada as the originals had rotted out in 10 years. I think they were from Armours. The panniers are fine with them on.
Hi Gents, sorry for the delay in getting back to after your replies, but I’m a bit of a technophobe and don’t log on too often. However, to answer some of your replies: the Prince was originally sold for private off-road use (on an estate) and not registered until 1984 by the next owner (97 miles), hence the ‘Q’ plate. I bought it in 1986 with 157 miles on it. I’m trtying to get an age related plate, as I said, and the DVLA are insisting on a factory confirmation of manufacture. The dating officer has helped as much as he can and even with proof of machines manufactured after mine the DVLA still want official proof. As I said before the factory say the bike was manufactured in 1984 even though the frame VIN shows 1979. The factory won’t talk to me now after I queried the date discrepancy! Mr.P, i’m trying to load some pictures of the Prince, but I’m not too good at computers, I like the technology, but don’t like using it much!
A bit more on the Royale - Black Prince history. According to Mr. Walker the SP’s were selling for £2299 in '79 and the Royales was sold in August '79 for an extra £500, at £2799. Due to the popularity of this limited edition it up’d the demand for the basic SP which was then sold for £2554. The last limited run of the Black Prince was then used to run out the last existing stock of SPs.
