Mate of mine has v85tt , never had any problem with rain , goes up the highlands & islands a lot !!, i have a 21 v7, been caught out in rain from time to time , once a torrential thunderstorm while tackling the Stelvio pass !!, also sat overnight in rain while in Europe , never a problem , i draw the line at salted roads , as much for my sake as the bikes!

No need to “try out” riding in the rain. You are gonna get caught out at some point regardless. Not heard of a UK biker waiting for it to rain to go out! just enjoy it!
