Sp1000 crankcase pressure

Hi all
What crankcase pressure is acceptable coming from dipstick tube,mine is quite excessive engine breathers clear ect.:thinking:

Theres a valve in the beather, “The Top Hat”, which creates something of a vacuum. It stops pumping air. Of course if you unplug the dipstick you undo this effect and thecrancase will suck and blow.

Good answer. Plus, that ‘top hat’ can gum up. Easily removed, as I recall, and ? Just a circlip holding a ball bearing in place?

Yup just a ball bearing. As the breather pipe sits over it , its not always obvious its there.

Easily done. I lost mine many years ago when I threw it away with a perisheshed breather elbow. You live and learn.
