T3 Timing Chest

Not sure if this is maybe a dumb question, but here goes;

I’m going to take a look at the chain and tensioner on Blue. Do I need to drain the sump first?

Not unless you intend to drop the sump as well

That wasn’t the plan, the oil is still fairly fresh in there. I shall proceed on that basis. Thanks.

Actually there were some leakages and seepages. Oil wells up from the floor of the chest. I’m running a sump spacer so may have been running the oil level a little too high.
