Think I may have a dud coil - recently fitted new points, plugs, condensers and nipped a bit off end of ht lead for that pot. Nice sparks and starts ok but goes onto 1 when under load. Fuel getting through. Don’t fancy shelling out £30 to Gutsibits if I can pick one up from the high street for less so can anyone tell me what spec. I need to be looking for please?
any 12volt 3 ohm coil
I too have had a dud brand new coil. Sh1t happens.

have you swopped the coils around to confirm it is a coil problem?.
