Modern synthetic oils are designed for longer service life I believe. Just don’t try doing similar with your mineral based!
That said, don’t think anyone will argue with more frequent changes if you think it prudent.
My X10 is 10,000 km (6,300 ml) BUT the service schedule do say should change it earlier if doing lots of high speed usage. Whatever that means!
