Had a ride to Keswick to meet with the Cumbria branch members for their Cumbria tour. Great weather and a very enjoyable day, thanks to everyone. Ian

Evicted the bike spiders, gave it a wash and then went Sainsbury’s to invest in some hydrocarbon futures hopefully all ready for a run to Calne on Saturday.
Finally got a tank to use & road it up & down our street today. MOT tomorrow hopefully

Got my S3 MOT’d the other day after months of niggling and very annoying and time-sapping running issues, then lent my Mk1 Le Mans tank to Grubby yesterday for his Le Mans special and he’s got an MOT today, so hopefully two older Guzzis back on the road in the space of a couple of days italianmotor2014-07-23 11:19:13
My Le Mans now has an MOT, the only fault was the tank, no surprise really as Adam’s had it for years & the seal on the filler cap that he lent me has perished & hardened with age. New one on it’s way from Gutsibits already! Get a replacement log book later this week (It’s been that long I’ve lost the old one!) then get it taxed at the beginning of August & that’s it I’m on the road at last!
Motorway dash to Warrington for a couple of hours work early doors.
Genteel scamper home via quitter and more civilised roads as I had the time to spare.
Nice weekday ride with very few bikes out and about.

Talked to it nicely and took a Spanish friend stopping over for the week down to Stratford to visit someone we both know. Great ride down although a bit warm to say the least. Rode back the next day taking the A5. Far far better than the M6.
The Brave 1100 performed wonderfully and handled better than the old ZZR14 two up. Think the rear pegs are a bit close though for two blokes with big feet. Still, a great time and my mate loved the ride out.
Took a finishing disc to my front brake master cylinder to make it fit my lightweight clip ons. Had to remove over 2mm depth of ally!!
Hoolied around the roof of England this evenin…was on the only bike fitted with clip ons…had to do a spot of cattle herding…perfick…
