Hi all do I need to adjust clutch arm before cable adjustment.

Possibly, just to make sure the cable is at right angles to the gearbox arm. When operated, the arm should just go ‘over centre’, if that makes sense.

Hi thanks for that, bike is new to me so in learning mode at the moment.

Watch how far the arm goes back, if it returns too far it will hit the brake pedal pivot. I set it so it starts working just a little bit before that point.

Hi there I have noticed that the clutch arm touches the pivot,do I need to take up more slack in the cable or adjust the clutch arm centre bolt?

Make sure there is a bit of free play in the arm when it touches the brake pivot, ie it should be just clear of the push rod end. Then adjust the cable so the handlebar adjustor is in a mid point on the thread and finally adjust the thread on the lower end to take up most of the slack.
