1200 Sport 4 V oil cooler paint

Hi. Has anyone got a recommendation about what type/brand of paint I should use for the oil cooler? Its the surround that I want to touch up, I’m not going to be spraying anything into the filaments. Im assuming its high temperature paint. Hammerite does an aerosol (up to 600 degrees!) & I think its a good brand probably.

I think that you’ll be lucky to get to more than 150 C, Cylinder black is a matt paint and heat resistant otherwise Hamerite is a good choice.

Caveat - on the body, not fins :+1:

Hi
Have a look at this. Not aerosol but a thin coat that’s very hard wearing

Cerakote is not a DIY product. The item has to be shotblasted and cured once applied. There are also different grades. The higher temperature coatings, eg for down pipes, are not as robust as the lower ones , ie 150 C (from memory so don’t quote me).

Thanks everyone for you help & suggestions. Think I’ll go for the cylinder black & see how it goes. Thanks again.
