Can anyone help with either advice or preferably a template? I understand that there is a mod you can make by cutting a hole on the fairing in order to access the oil level dipstick so that you don’t have to keep removing a fairing panel every time you want to check the oil. I’m quite happy to cut a hole, just need to know the best place.
I’ve got a 2008 model. It came with an extended length dipstick so no need to cut holes or remove panels. Unfortunately i’m unable to provide details of where it came from but it’s not something someone made at home.
I’ve seen an extended dipstick on eBay for around the £30 mark - so if I buy one of those are you saying that there is no need to drill any holes? Interesting.
IIRC, the old Tonti bikes fitted with the fairing lowers (Spada, LM2) had an extended dipstick for exactly that reason. Would one of those fit?
