I have an ABS failure and so I need to connect my Stelvio to diagnostics but can’t find the socket to connect to. On Carl Allison’s wiring diagram there are two, one for the ECU and one for the dash, both are only three pin plugs with one wire and an earth. I would have thought this connection would be multi pin. Any suggestions where I should look?
Many thanks Chris
The one you need should be the nice rounded plug, probably black. Think it’s a supaseal plug
Thanks Brian, any idea where I will find it?
Best wishes Chris
If you have a fuse “panel” located just past battery and in the centre of the mudguard (I’ve got a Sport 1200) it is usually tucked in there.

I have found it, thank you Brian. I went to Witham to show the mechanic at Bridge Street Motorcycles to ensure he could connect his computer (or having to buy a new wire to connect it) for its MOT and service next month, but as I set out, goodness me, the ABS light went out as it should do!
I have fiddled with fuses under the seat and possibly cured the problem thus, or the Guzzi gods were just teasing me all along and added it as a quirk to my stewardship. Either way it appears fixed. On the way back from Witham it behaved itself again.
Fingers crossed!
Best wishes Chris
ABS light on is not an MOT failure (nor, oddly enough, is a defective speedo). However, you’d expect the ABS light to go out when they do the rolling road brake test.
MOT Brake Test does one Wheel at a time.
ABS System needs to see both wheels turning together for the self-diagnostic check, as you pull away for the first time (after starting).
Diagnostic Connectors are the Super-Seal type, both 3-Pin, one has three wires, the other has two.
They are tucked away on the R/H side of the Frame, under the Pillion Seat area.
The two-Wire Connector is for Guzzidiag, the other is the Dash Diagnostics as I understand it, never tried using it.
Stelvios have either Bosch or Conti(nental) ABS Units, only one of those can be ‘interrogated’ with Guzzidiag, can never remember which one though, again, never tried connecting.
You select the ABS System from the drop-down list when you first connect Guzzidiag, it’s at the bottom of the Bike Models list.
Chris, the Connector for the Rear ABS Sensor is somewhere in the same area as the under-seat Fuses, you may have inadvertently disturbed it enough to cure a dodgy contact.
It might be worth finding it (follow the Cable from underneath the Swing-Arm), unplugging it, and checking the Pins and Sockets.
Same with the Front Sensor Connector, either could throw up a fault code, or the ABS Light.
Did you check the Dash Menu for Error Codes?
