Andreani Misano Evo Fork Kit - Stelvio 1200

Hi all, has anyone here installed an Andreani fork kit on their Stelvio 1200? I got a set for my Stelvio 1200 and the thread on the Andreani fork internals is 12mm, however the the thread on the stock forks are 10mm. I am unable to bolt/screw them onto the wheel axle because of this, thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum and the club.

First I am no expert on this stuff but on looking I noticed they have listings for two different ages of 1200? Sure you were sent the correct version?

Hopefully someone with your year of 1200 can tell you if the fork bottoms/axle design has changed? Did you buy from Brook Suspension? Might get specific tech information from them.

Good luck and hope you get a solution!

yes i got them from Brooks suspension. ordered the right set for my year model as well (08-11 for my 2009 Stelvio). I have reached out to them, yet to get a response

Not being cheeky but I assume 08-11 is what it says on what they actually sent? One wonders also whether somewhere along the way the wrong set got switched into the wrong box?? Dumb stuff like that happens once in a while. :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

At least they are a reputable outfit so sure they will get you fixed. Post up the answer though when you find out? Might get someone else ahead of the curve in future. :crossed_fingers:

yeah i suspect i got sent the wrong set, will post an update when they respond :ok_hand:

I know if it’s a few months back. Did you ever get this sorted? I’m asking because I’m thinking about fork upgrades too. Which was the right kit in the end, although my Stelvio is a 2012 8v which I think has different forks to the earlier models.

For what it’s worth, 2008 to 2010 Stelvios have the 50mm Forks.

2011 Bikes onwards use the 45mm Forks.
I wasn’t aware of any difference to the Damper Rod Screw sizes between the 50 & 45mm Forks, but I guess it would make sense that the 45s use a smaller Screw . . .

Also, it’s reasonably common for a pre 2010 (or earlier) Bike to be registered in 2011, or later.

Hello, sorry for getting back tO you so late. Notifications kept going to spam for some reason.

I took the forks off and posted them to Brooks Suspension. They took everything apart, installed the upgraded internals and replaced the OEM internals with new ones, and put in new fork oil. Labour cost was £198 And the new OEM internals (bushings, guides, seals, etc) cost an extra £60
