I bought a 2019 bobber. Today is just my 3rd quick ride out on it, covering only 40 miles approx each time. Bike had brand new Bridgestone h50 tyres fitted by the dealer befor i took ownership. But despite over 130 miles, hoping the tyres are getting scrubbed in. At 50 plus the bike feels like “Bambi on Ice” any suggestions would be most helpful.
Cheers

Pressures? Have you checked them?
Hi
Yes front is 36, and rear is 42. Which is the recommended pressures
They may be recommended for the bike, but different tyres have different pressure recommendations, and if, as you describe, it’s feeling “skittish” that’s potentially a good place to start experimenting. Easy, too.
If it’s any help my V7 stone is set at 2.5 bar (approx 36 psi) on both tyres. I’m approx 95 kilo in weight (approx 15 stone in old money) and haven’t had any issues. I have Dunlop arrowmax tyres. Again no problems. I did think it was a quirk of moto guzzi that front and rear tyres were the same pressure as I had be used to higher pressures at the rear. But the bike runs really good ![]()
Many thanks will give that a go
I own a 2016 V9 Bobber, it has Continental Contitour tyres and I run them at 36/42 psi & don’t experience anything untoward. It rides nicely. I sometimes use it on my commute on fast A roads at 70mph no problems at all.
