Balancing throttle bodies - MG Centauro

Hello, i’m new to the forum and thank you in advance if you can assist me with the following: I believe that I require the throttle bodies on my MG Centauro to be balanced. I’m based in West Sussex and will happily travel where necessary to get the appropriate garage / specialist to work on the bike. Thank you.

I’d recommend Twiggers in Loughborough. Brilliant independent Guzzi specialist, (were Guzzi main dealers for many years)
Not exactly close to home for you though. Is Baldricks workshop still trading?

Thank you so much. This is appreciated. I eventually found a local company, SBS Motorcycles, in Lancing. The proprietor is a trained GUZZI mechanic and did a wonderful job balancing the throttle bodies and adjusting the valve clearances. I very much recommend them. Thank you once more.

Glad to hear that you had a positive result and have found a trusted local Guzzi specialist
There aren’t many around these days, and many of the current dealer network have acquired the Guzzi marque through being previous Piaggio dealers and are not familiar with legacy Guzzi models. I had experienced exactly the same issue as yourself when having removed tank, air filters, throttle bodies etc from one of my Guzzi’s I failed miserably at balancing them - competently resolved by Twiggers.
It’s great to have a local Guzzi specialist that you can rely on to do a good job at a reasonable price. My worry is what’s going to happen in the future when this generation retires and the knowledge is lost :disappointed:

I see that you found someone to help. Another time, try Baldrick’s Bat Cave in Leatherhead. He’s a Guzzi Guru, having forgotten more than most of us will ever need to know and about 40 years experience… Look him up on Google Maps… :+1:

I would imagine we’ll all have to buy a very simple carb balancing kit from TriKing in Norfick and do it ourselves? there is always the vast knowledge tied up with ownership and experience? I’m a carpenter, but I still took on stripping and rebuilding a Cali gearbox, very simple in reality
