Bar end mirrors that retain bar end weights

Does anyone have experience of the bar end mirrors that clamp over the original bar end weights?

I am not keen on losing the weights, and also not keen on using an expanding bolt inside the bar and maybe damaging the big (M17?) thread for the plug (for want of a better word - I mean the thing the end weight bolt screws in to).

I have seen mirrors that will clamp to the bar itself, but that mean shuffling grips, switchgear etc. 13mm inboard, which seems like a bit of a hack – simpler just to put the mirror on the bar end, surely?

I am thinking of the 1200 Sport; but I guess all the CARC bikes are similar.

The switchgear has locating pins that match holes on the handlebars. You can provide new holes.

Can’t help with the mirrors, but you could use the threaded holes in the bar ends to secure the mirrors.
