Hi,
I need new barrels and pistons for my G5 as the original cast iron barrels are worn out.
I would like to use the Gilardoni low compression 88mm barrels and pistons but they are hard to acquire.
Has anyone any experience of the kits supplied by Gutsibits, Stein Dinse or anybody else?

they come in batches, all from the same source, ultimately. at certain times, one might have to get on a waiting list as they ‘build (batches) to order’ as i understand it. experience? they do exactly what it says on the box. don’t drop the parcel on your toes.

How many times have you rebored your current barrels, as you can normally get 3 rebores.
It has not been rebored.
I would do that if I could find any oversize pistons.
If anyone knows of oversize 88mm pistons that can be used please let me know.
I think oversize 88mm pistons are impossible to find. I failed when I wanted some.
In the end I bought a secondhand barrel from Gutsibits to replace the corroded left one and reused my pistons with new rings.
I think you can get them resleeved. I heard that SEP at Loughborough can do them, but you might find someone local to you.
