Bellagio 'Tune Up'

Hi, I have owned mine from new which I bought in 2007. Currently it is standard apart from Mistral Cans and I am planning to try and release a bit more low down and midrange power from the engine; so I want to remove the cat, fit a power commander and K&N Filter. Any suggestions/advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Hiya, have a look in members technical services, re Finebau Forge… guykate2014-02-14 18:17:25

Sump extension tends to be recommended for big block owners wanting more power. Not sure the power commander is necessary as the ECU map can be re-written with free software.

Good luck, Richard

I thought the Bellagio came with a sump extension, I thought more or less all big block Guzzis had them since the early 90s. Certainly my Spada III (1990) did.

The Bellagio has it’s CATs in the standard silencers rather than in the crossover, so unless the Mistrals have CATs in them you are already part way to your aim. There is no doubt that removing the CATs helps - see 940V’s posts for details of power increase for his machine when fitted with Quill can. (Note you also lose about 10kg in weight from removing the standard exhaust cans and carrier plate)Can’t help you over the PC as I have no experience of that, but there is an Aussie on the Guzzitech Forum who has made a lot of changes to his Bella. Worth a search for posts by “Ghezzi”

As far as I know the guys to ask are

Dave 940V
Tone
Almost
they are real into their Bellagios

Workshops who know would be Corsa Italiana

Get the fuel modifier from Dave (940V)
Not all will agree ,but do the Cali airbox mod.Cut the snorkels off and drill the top of the air box.
Fit a KN filter
No need for the sump extension.
Cut the exhausts off and fit a QUILL.Or once you have the link pipe exhaust of your choice.

You dont need that pc stuff.

Now you need a new gearbox because it will rev out in top so you need 7th and 8th gears.
On full chat you will have the front wheel skipping across the tarmac
You will spin the back wheel up if you lean the bike over over on takeoff.

So the bike breathes better and the gases get out better.

If you want to use sports bike rubber change the wheels to ones from a Breva.Like me

My bike dont look like this now but you get the idea.

Thanks for all the input gents, been a great help. Cheers

would agree with the addition of a Finebau forge optimiser from Dave (940V) as the quickest easiest way to get more low down power on the Bellagio. You should notice a difference with the mistral cans fitted.

Hi, I like those wheels, are they the as size are originall Bella , I have a 2007 and cleaning the spokes are driving me mad!
Cheers
Justino

Then don’t clean em and just ride it

The wheels are from a breva,i had a set polished.
But then you can fit sports bike rubber

I hate cleaning spokes aswelltonewuk2014-03-24 21:12:37

Thanks are they the same size so a direct replacement?

The bella back wheel is 17 inch the front is 18 inch as standard.
So the rear is the same size.
The front is smaller,Hence sports bike rubber.
You need a new spacer made to fit the breva wheel.
Which reminds me.

OK thanks for the info
