Also on the positive side, after my issues with the California rear brake caliper destroying itself i am pleased to report that i have done over 2,500 miles, including a great tour of Ireland 
to the Killarney Bike Festival.
The bike is running really well, fuel economy is improving, now the brake is not dragging, I was very happy with the support from the dealer , The Scooter Cafe in Maidenhead.
They replaced the caliper and rear master cylinder, which was corroded, and the cause of the problem, i had a service done as a precaution, and new front brake pads and fluid changed. They extended the 3 month warranty on the bike to cover the time they had it, and only charged an hours labour.
