Bike nights at the Bluebell Restaurant, Willand.

Hello All,

Evidently there are to be some bike nights hosted at the Bluebell Restaurant in Willand, near Cullompton. This isn’t a Guzzi meet as such, but a general gathering of bikes and riders in the mid/east Devon area. I saw this in another forum, and thought it might be of interest to some of us who live in or near the area. The cafe/restaurant is adjacent to an Esso filling station, on the B3181 at postcode EX15 2PF. The meetings are from 17:00 to 21:00.

The dates that have been posted are

Tuesday 14th April (tomorrow) CANCELLED

Tuesday May 12th

Tuesday June 9th

Tuesday July 14th

Tuesday August 11th

Tuesday September 8th.

I’m going along to the first one tomorrow, to see what it’s all about, and assuming it isn’t pouring down. I should be along on my red 750T.

Cheers, Bob

I live near Exeter. I shall see if I can make it.

Looks like it’s been cancelled which is strange as there’s only a bit of occasional drizzle.

It rained here this morning in the Taunton area, but is just overcast and a bit windy now. Is that an ‘official’ cancellation? I’m not a FB user. I might pop down for a quick look in any case….

Spotted on FB just now. Looks like it was originally put up about 7 hours ago.

Ok, thanks for letting me / us know. I’m guessing that means no coffee etc, so I won’t worry about going down there for a ride. Oh well, there’s always next month I guess.

I see there isn’t an East Devon meet at the moment. Perhaps we can kick start one and see what happens.

I wouldn’t want to discourage you, but you’d need a fair bit of interest to get a branch going.

I can however heartily recommend the West Devon Branch meetings and runs out. I need to make a 50 or 60 mile run each way to get to meet them, but it’s all good fun, and for me, quite a lot of exploration of Devon lanes and B-roads as a Somerset incomer

I did go to their last meet. A Saturday a couple of weeks ago. A good group of people.
