Brakes for Galetto

Please anybody, new member/Guzzi owner asking where to get Gellato brake shoes from???

Hello 7P1661es and welcome to the forum, I’m sure someone will be along soon to advise you :+1:

Excellent news, thanks and here’s hoping!

Do you have any old shoes? If you do, then they could be relined with new friction material. Viliers Services do this and have a good reputation, I think there is a place in Keynsham between Bath and Bristol as well.

Brilliant, never been down that road before but needs must!

Much appreciated, Hugh.

The alternative would be to order some new ones from Italy. I doubt if you would find any in this country.

I always like a choice of companies when considering these things so will add Nutexa frictions as another relining place.

I only know of them from the VW Transporter scene where they get many a good review on the forums. Their website indicates they refine assorts of stuff.

At least it’s another option if you do go down that route.

Thank you very much, somehow will get sorted?

I can recommend Villiers. They did a brake material rebuild/ upgrade (modern materials) for my loop. quick turnaround.

After 2 thumbs-up about Villiers, methinks I’ll be using them, thankyou very much!
