Has anyone fit bar risers for the Breva 750 without having to fit new longer cables etc
Simply a straight fit
Ken
I avoided doing it, because the front of the bike is quite sensitive, and might cause it to wobble, I got used to the position of the bars and now prefer the leaning forward pose, its like an RD250
I would think that raising them , could pose a problem with the brake pipes and the clutch cable, the wiring could be re routed easily enough
Would be happy bars a little closer to me Perhaps different bars Thats why I’m asking if anyone has done this without altering brake pipes etc
just a thought, is your machine fitted with the low seat ? that might make the bars a stretch if you have short arms, or joint problems
before doing this I would suggest checking tyre pressure and tyre as they will make a difference [tyres grip differently depending on make] on how the front end feels along with the steering head bearings.
Using a riser that will not move is a good idea - something like this

Something like this will not stretch your cables too much, it is worth looking to see if you did do this that you still have sufficient clearance around the tank on full lock.
Did you fit risers to your Breva?. It is something I’m considering and would be interested in hearing what your experience has been.
I bought my Breva 750 2nd hand and it was fitted with risers which I didn’t realised until about 6 months in! I’ve not known anything else but it feels really good to me though I expect the wind might be reduced leaning forward a little more.
