Breva 750 Rear wheel bearing question

Dear Friends,

I’ve noticed what appears to be black coloured grease-like stuff on the rear wheel of the Breva, and I am sure it’s not coming from the final drive or the brake system, so I’m thinking that it must be bearing grease. I assume that it should not be getting out/away from the bearing, and I believe that there are seals on the bearing which can be replaced.

I have no manual or illustrations to guide me, can anyone help? What tools are needed, is it do-able by an amateur?

Thanks
Alex

Sounds like graphite grease. A bit like copper slip to prevent the spindle from seizing in the bearing. Looks like grey marmite.
