Breva, loud pipes, MOT

I’ve put Silencers from gutsibits (generic pipes) on the bike. Much louder. I’m wondering if it’ll get through it’s mot or should I revert to the originals?

here’s an idea. ride it to the MOT station pre-appointment, take a couple of packs of biscuits, and ask the opinion of your MOT tester?

If Harleys pass with their exhausts, you should pass.

in my experience if it does not have the CE rating and approved for road use, the MOT centre will fail your bike. better to remove and then replace after the test

Thank you. I think that seals it for me. I’m going to replace them until after the mot. Cheers.

The MOT test doesn’t look for any markings or such on the exhaust. Purely down to the testers discretion. If you look on line MOT inspection manual: motorcycles - 8. Exhaust noise - Guidance - GOV.UK

generally they will pass it unless marked ‘not for road use’

I’ve had a Mistral oval carbon on my 1200 Sport (with the mute removed) since the leaden original fell off just over 5 years ago, I’ve never had an issue with the MoT.
