Broadsword calling Danny Boy..

Hey folks, looking to replace my old Aldi Bluetooth intercom (which provided a decade of solid service despite only costing £29 per unit).
Any recommendations .??
I’m looking for simplicity, the ability to hear my SatNav and chat with my pillion is all I want, (not sure why I’d need any more).

I’ve had a few cardo systems over the years. I would go for a discontinued line which was great at the time but they’re all moving to mesh now. You may get a bargain. Remember, where eagles dare. :grinning::+1:

Plus, I know you don’t think you need music but there’s nothing like a bit of Bucks Fizz on a sunny day. Good luck, ‘making your mind up’ :grinning:

Oh dear
While I’d like to respond in kind, with another of their ‘hits’, I reckon they only exist in a Land of Make Believe…

Awful :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Saw these on eBay. For your
Needs may well suit.

My mate uses this but I’m not convinced it’s what you need.

I’ve already tried the HD ‘Classic’ version of those..

You have to ride in close formation, and even then the sound is a bit ‘tinny’…

:joy: I’ve been outdone. I need to get some.

I have ended up with samsung ear buds, in helmet sets i have tried were all too quiet above 40mph/ish. Only trouble with the buds is one always flys out when i take my helmet off.

Very very rare phone calls, regular sat nav use, talk to pillion, no music.
I used the Uclear HBC200 before switching to cardo Freecom 4+
Both systems brilliant. I intended to sell off the uclear but have a nagging feeling it is a better unit for me. The boomless mike worked in open face up to about 65mph, up to 90mph full face. Sound quality is better on cardo but the uclear was 5 years older. Cardo unit is larger and has to have a boom mike fitted as well. Battery lasts all day on both, have done up to 9 hr rides maybe a bit more. I got the Cardo to try out music but hated it on the bike.
I recomend a second hand uclear as a good reliable cheap option. both easy to set up. I still have both as have been to lazy to sell off either system.

thought they were the cylinder blocks

Me and the Wife have the Cardo units, id recommend any cardo units they are all good. I’ve tried cheaper ones… Not a patch.

I saw this discussion title and thought it would be a reference to ‘Where Eagles Dare’, very Guzzi appropriate. Am I the only one who read that title and heard Richard Burton’s voice?

Funnily enough I wrote it in Burton’s voice too…

I feel as old as Burton so a fulll house :grinning:

My wardrobe is still mostly from Burtons too…

:joy::joy::joy: you win on that one.

Freedconn are worth a look. I use mine mainly for the radio but they are good quality and very affordable. I have heard good reports about Fodsports too.
