Cali 3 exhaust

Hello again everyone.

Still working on my ( new to me)cali 3.

Just discovered a series of holes in the underside of the silencers :grimacing:

Ive spoke to a chroming place about fixing them but they dont weld/ repair.

Anyone know of a person to send them to that can do the whole job in one go?

Thanks

Connor

Buying stainless steel replacements will be cheaper than refurbishing your old system, less chrome to keep on top of always a bonus :+1:

+1 that. If you’re even remotely considering chrome then you can’t really balk at cost of a decent stainless system - two rusted non-stainless systems later, you’ll be quids in! FWIW, someone persuaded me to shell out for Mistrals for my Cali (a T3) instead of ‘original’ Lafranconis. Same price, at the time. Over 10 years later, I’d likely be picking up bits of rusted Lafranconis, ‘good chrome’ or not (o; For my money, the Mistrals look the part, sound great, and the quality is beyond debate. Hth.

Thanks for that. Ill have a look.

£230 for the rechrome and that would be after the patching work.

Ill go with the mistrals if i can find a set.

Thanks lads

I thought the standard Cali 3 silencers are stainless. Mine certainly are, maybe they are from a later model. Patching up old rusted silencers is unlikely to work well, they will just rust through somewhere else very quickly.
They come up for sale on eBay occasionally Here is an example of one for sale

And they will be corroded on the inside as well !, short journeys and cold engines !!
The Stainless will look better and outlast the machine
