Just wondering if this is normal, when coming to a stop the linked brakes seems to put more braking power to the front disc causing the front end to dip just before I stop, (upsetting the balance of the bike).
I’m used to linked brakes, 4th cali 1st ev, I’ve had it over a month now but can’t get used to this .
Checked the system for air in the rear line, all good.
Am I missing something?
Cheers Phil
There’s a proportioning valve on the LHS in front of the rear wheel with a spring on it. Might the spring have gone missing?
Will check it out thank’s
Found the spring thing, spring intact and the arm was not siezed, adjusted the screw out a few turns and it made it more savage… adjusted it the other way and it’s made an improvement , cheers Mackers1👍
On my vintage MOT said front disc chattering not a fail but flagged up. Naturally though need a new disc? Bled system through and made a big difference so somehow air seems to have caused this? Chatter still noticeable but only just. Can’t explain this phenomenon can anyone else ? Regards Ratt Roger
Took the bike for a longer ride today the adjustment has worked a treat, pulls up nice and even with amost no front end dive👍
