how is the rear light cluster earthed? through the frame or through wire? original is missing, Gutsibits manual is unreadable any ideas???
looking at this diagram, it suggests that the earths to the rear stop tail lamps and indicators all connect together and go to earth at the rear lamp.
You may find a better scan of the manual at this website

From the wiring diagram the earth appears to be wired to a two wire connector along with the tail light, with the indicators and brake light via a three wire connector.
