Cali Vintage gear and transmission oil

Hello everyone, just looking for some advice on alternative gear and transmission oil, I know that MotoGuzzi recommend Agip Rotra MP SAE 80 W/90 which is hard to find, I was wondering if LIQUI MOLY Hypoid Gear Oil (GL5) SAE 80W-90 can be used, or are there other recommendations?

MG only recommend Agip oils because (one presumes) of a brand tie-in. Other brand oils of similar specification can be used. If in doubt, use them for shorter mileage intervals.

(1000s, Cali ev and of late 1200s),

I would stick with the recommended grade of oil along with hyoid gear capability. Your suggested Liqui Moly meets these specs perfectly. Cheers Phil
