Gentleman a tec question…

After owning this beauty for the last 9 months and enjoying every moment. Time has come to change the tyres. I am running Avon Chrome and absolutely hate them. 6 years old and have lost their profile.

I really fancy a pair of Metzler CruiseTec, and here comes the but…..

Standard tyre size for the front is 130/70 R18. CruiseTec does these.

Tyre size for the rear is 200/60 R16, which CruiseTec don’t. but they do do a 200/55 R16.

So the question is does the calibration for the rear wheel senser can it cope with a 55 instead of a 60? And has anyone gone down this route.

I went through a number of sets of Avon Cobra Chrome, found them to be excellent. A six year old tyre will probably not feel good, irrespective of the make and model and size. I would get 10,000 miles from a rear and 13,000 miles from a front. Brilliant!!
