Anyone know if I can simply remove the large hex nut on the top of each leg or does the damping adjuster cause complications?
Also, what is the factory recommended grade and quantity of oil for each leg?
My manual as usual doesn’t have the information I require.
Forks have to come off, then emptied. The spacer and spring will fall out. The damper is held in by the bolt at the bottom of the fork leg. Refill with 10W 565ml each leg, annoyingly over 1 litre. That’s for the 1100i 2003/4.
