CARC Model Workshop Stand/Bike Lift

I am trying to get my head around the best method of lifting and supporting a 1200 Sport for wheel removal.

Suggestions so far have been:
Conventional Bike Lift.
Trolley Jack under the sump (somehow stabilised)
For the rear jack under the CARC Drive itself (seems suspect and rather risky).

What do you guys do?

I have 2 Carc bikes. The Stelvio has a centrestand and for the Griso, I bought this…

It’s a well made piece of kit but it is bike-specific so I don’t know if would suit the 1200 Sport. If you can’t get hold of a centre-stand for it, I would suggest a bike lift with a front wheel clamp where you can jack the rear up using a block of wood with axle stands either under the centre stand mountings or the suspension linkage, whichever is more stable.

There are some good bike benches around for not too much cash, go for one with a solid front wheel clamp and a removable section to drop the rear wheel. The bonus is that you can do all the other work at near eye level and . if you pick the right one, they can be stored on edge and not take up too much room.

I have used a front wheel stand or lift and a trolley jack under the suspension - also used this technique at the tyre shop.

Is that price correct, €8500?

Check again for the comma…€85,00…however if you give me €8500 I’ll supply you with two, and deliver them personally .

It’s friends like you that make this club great.

I will have to look into it though.
