Club Rideout, 21 June - Moto Guzzi Day

It’s been a wet old June so far, but don’t despair – summer returns at the weekend, just in time for our Sunday Club Rideout. And while the destination of our monthly ride is usually kept a closely guarded secret, known only to a select few until the very last minute, the fact that 21 June is also Moto Guzzi Day at Haynes Motor Museum might give you a clue as to where we’re headed!

Now, you might think you know how to get to Sparkford, but Bob, your Ride Captain for the day, has other ideas. We meet at Union Road Moto-Velo in Crediton at 10.00 for a 10.30 start – after that, it’s anyone’s guess. All I know is that we will end up at the museum in time for the festivities, where we will meet up with Guzzi Club members from the Bristol & Bath, Somerset, and Dorset branches (and who knows where else). There will no doubt be a bit of friendly competition as to which branch can field the largest turnout – so let’s make it huge! Can we beat 10 machines, our record so far this year?

See you on Sunday!

Thanks Piers.

The run will be about 70-75 miles (Veglia!) from Moto Velo and should hopefully take about 2 hours. The route is biased firmly to hills and countryside, but no goat tracks this time as we don’t want to be too late getting to the Guzzi Day at the museum.

For those who haven’t been to the museum before, you can find more information in Chris Jessop’s post here: https://forum.motoguzziclub.co.uk/t/moto-guzzi-day-2026-sparkford-sunday-21st-june/22445/3

If you want to go into the museum, note there is a small discount for forward booking if you do so online.

See you on Sunday
