clutch scream after a good thrashing !!

Think i might have a problem with the stelvio clutch. After a spirited ride around Derbyshire yesterday i noticed a what can only be described as a bearing scream when i pull the clutch leaver it stops when i let the clutch leaver out. I think it sounds like a thrust bearing or release bearing on the way out. Worryingly it sounds louder than the rattle from the motor and clutch. Should i be taking a look at the clutch?

Hi Temp5848MB, I’ve just carried out a clutch replacement on a colleagues Stelvio following complaints of a “groaning clutch” so I have a bit of experience. You have my e mail address. If you send me your phone number I’ll go through it with you. Getting at the thrust bearing involves slave cylinder removal which has to be proceeded by swing arm and shock absorber removal so not a quick and easy job. Cheers Phil
