Hi, does anybody know a good dealer in the North West who can show me how to connect to the sat nav etc on this bike plus I am looking for a good dealer for ongoing servicing. I visited Wigan Motorcycles but they had no idea. Thanks
do you mean the moto guzzi MIA + navigation app?
Hi, yes I did, thanks
Also the nav part of the app has disappeared even though I renewed recently
I’m afraid I removed the MIA from my S because the three extra screens to scroll through were irritating me intensely, and my 'phone was too old to be compatible anyway.
But maybe you can help me…Does the dashboard clock update automatically when it connects through to your 'phone ?
I have never managed to connect it for long enough to find that out, sorry
have you accessed the user manual from the app settings?
Just downloaded the new version and got as far as select your bike but the V100S isn’t listed??
that’s very strange because one of the recent updates was to add stelvio compatibility
It is very weird as the Stelvio isn’t there either
I will try and reload app again tomorrow and see what happens
Thanks for your help with this
I am beginning to feel like AndyMay regarding disconnection as the extra screens are very irritating. I have my phone connected and can confirm that the clock doesnt update automatically. I dont really see the point in connecting my phone to the bike just to keep track of its mileage, I tried the Guzzi Nav app and its terrible I use a dedicated sat nav its just easier. I had to disconnect my headset from the bike as well as it would not play well when the headset was connected to my sat nav. In all not a very good effort by MG would have been far better to go down the Android Auto Apple car play route.

Thanks for that update on the clock. To my mind, that would have been the only feature that might have redeemed it. Currently, I’m pulling the dashboard fuse when I leave the machine, so that the battery doesn’t go flat after 2-3 weeks. The only thing that seems to get lost is the clock, so an auto update might have been vaguely useful.
I asked a mate about the nav app on his V85TT, looked into it and found it needed a phone app. My phone was too old to try it, and I decided that the sort of places I would need it to work would likely have no phone signal anyway. Like you, I have a dedicated satnav mounted just below dashboard line of sight. I’ve not found out how to make the Garmin display the clock while navigating.
If you want to, you can just unplug the MIA connector and the screens disappear; it’s proper plug’n’play. I removed the module completely and wrapped the 'bike harness end to keep weather out. I’d like to get a proper blanking plug, as the base model must have on the harness, but I don’t see it in teh parts book.
i can screenshot the manual pages if you need them
Thanks but I have the original and try as I might the thing will not connect. Reading some of the comments on here it sounds like it might not be worth the hassle and easier to use google maps for road riding
the benefit of the app is the phone can stay in your pocket and the directions are on the bike dash. i much prefer this if riding in urban areas.
I’ve used it on many long trips, including over 500 miles in one day. Apart from one error in a town sending me around in circles because the road layout wasn’t up to date (which i would have seen if i was using the map screen on phone rather than just the icons on dash) it worked acceptably well.
i don’t like google maps, too much clutter, but google are very up to date.
tomtom go ride was my backup app of choice until it was discontinued. generally i dont like an extra screen, especially in bright sunlight. being able to flip between the navigation and normal dash works well on the v85 except when playing music as the controls overlap so it is fixed on whichever screen unless you cancel the music.
i have found setting routines up on the phone helps, so when the phone detects the bike is connected it automatically sets bluetooth volume, turns on mobile data and gps, and opens the guzzi app. A touch macro then presses the connect button to enable the full functionality, although the mia works without this for calls and music
Thanks for the info, I will persevere with the connection’s
