Can anyone tell me what I need to do if a buyer wants to use a courier to pick up a bike? What paperwork do I need? What should I get as proof etc etc? Has anyone had experience of seeking this way?

I generally use www.movemotorcycles.co.uk as they keep both the parties informed by text and email from initial booking, collection date notification, collection and delivery notifications. They also take pictures at collection and delivery. They have well equiped vans and are nice people to deal with.
I would get the payment and do the DVLA transfer prior to collection. Thay way you get the funds and the buyer can see (via a DVLA transfer email) that the bike is now theirs.
Im not connected in any way to Move Motorcycles other than being a customer.
If the buyer wants to use a “man with a van” type courier then get the driver to sign a detailed collection note and take photos before its loaded.
