De Cat the V100

So, has anybody on here fitted the Agostini de cat exhaust to their V100 Mandello or Stelvio?

They’re not a bad price to be honest.

£695 from Gutsibits if you want a UK dealer

OR

€690 fron Stein-Dinse before you remove our discount.

Only seen one guy fit it in the states and he reckoned she ran a tad lean afterwards.

I know of one person who has changed it and I’ve not heard her making any complaints either.

So, we bit the bullet and got one off Agostini themselves along with a cardan shaft protector. All told it was the same price as Stein Dense if not slightly cheaper.

Not sure my skills are upto changing it so might have a run up to my mates

Is that the same unit as sold by Gutsibits?

Exactly the same

Update…

So she’s had the new exhaust fitted now which was relatively straightforward even on the sidestand. Two areas that required thought were

  1. The sump guard required the rear ‘ears’ bending out to clear the pipes.
  2. The rear mounting tab is in the same place as the stock one, but the cat has a tube, and this is flat. The provided spacer didn’t even come close. So, the original bushes were refitted and I’ll get a stainless tube made to cover them.

Without the silencer, boy did she sound good. With it, she’s throatier and nice.

As an aside the fuel economy seems to have increased by about 15 miles a tank. If this continues she will have paid for herself

I did hear online that moto guzzi can remap a bike so you can decat it.
How true this is i don’t know

Theoretically, with the positioning of the 3 sensors (1 in each header and 1 post cat) the ECU should do all the work.
I’ve not noticed any issues thus far
