Looks like my Nutronics ignition has bit the dust, no spark on the left hand side, misfire at first then if I stopped the motor and fired it up again it would run on both sides eventually the left hand side gave up altogether.
Suspected the coils so changed them, still the same.
Dizzy cap off, plugs out pass a piece of card through the right hand optical pick up blue spark at plug, do the same trick with the left hand one no spark, can these systems be repaired or do I buy another?
(The system is at least 20yrs old maybe it’s service life is
over)

Guzzibits sell complete kits, not sure about spare parts?
From a browse of their website, it doesn’t look like they offer any inspection service.
I had a Piranha system on my Spada which died a good few years ago and replaced it with the Newtronics which is the same system.

Its worth talking to Autocar especially if you want a replacement as they may give a discount. They are unlikely to repair it as the internals have been completely updated (for the better I may add). Surprised you have an intermittant issue as I would have thought it would fail completely. May be worth double checking wires, corroded connectors (20 years old) etc.
For what its worth I have an old one with a blown power transistor you can have if you want to canabalise if you want a go at fixing yours, obviously I dont know what other components are also blown.

Thanks for your thoughts, took the igniter box off today, inspected all the wiring no corrosion all connected and no breaks, conclusion is old age has caught up with it will order another one tomorrow 
If you call them they will repair it for you. I had the same last year. Very helpful.

Update…
After Nick_Wallis suggestion I got in touch with newtronics and spoke with a very helpful Geezer, (as my dead unit was at least 30 yrs old, (10yrs on the shelf in the shed and then 20yrs on the bike) I thought it would be rude to ask for a repair), cancelled the gutzibits order, (There’s mark ups and there’s Mark Ups to steep) new one is on the way from the manufacturer

For my own understanding, did you replace the whole system including pick-ups?
Good result though, should be good for another 20 years now!

Hi, just been clearing some paperwork and discovered the circuit diagram I made of the Piranha Ignition, including all of the components, if any of you are interested I can attempt to upload it.
I replaced mine due to the unreliability of the optical pickups and the fact that they put no load on the distributor shaft hence the timing advance floats on the backlash of the timing chain and distributor gears.
