After soaking the inlet in Starbrite fuel tank cleaner for a couple of days (I’m getting continuity between the electrical connectors) but the valve doesn’t open. I should admit the bike’s been standing a few years, so I can expect many gremlins. Instead of replacing with a standard fuel tap & sleeving the outlet, I’m thinking to simply drill out the valve so there is a constant supply to the fuel pump. Has anyone else tried this, or does anyone have any comments?

Update: I’ve detached the tap from the solenoid & found a very rusty plunger. Wire brushed & now soaking in white spirits. We shall see…

& neglect! It’s now covered in Bilt Hamber de-ox gel. I’ll give it another day or so & if it doesn’t come to life with 12v I’ll adapt a Le Mans tap.
