DGR - Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride

For those interested.. this years Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride ride date is Sunday May 17th, with events at various locations around the country.

I’ll either do the Hull one as last year, or the Lincolnshire ride -

Lincolnshire event:
Start 10:00→ Departs 11:30 Wickenby Airfield
Finish 13:30 Bomber Command, Lincoln.

Hull event:
Start 09:15→ Departs 10:30
Zoom Café Bar, Sand Lane South Cave HU15 2JQ
Meeting Point: West Park Anlaby Road.
Finish: 12:30 Hull Marina East side.

I’ve signed up for the Lincolnshire ride this year with the missus on the pillion, hoping for half decent weather this Sunday 17th May.
Ride starts at the former RAF Wickenby airfield, and concludes at Bomber Command, Lincoln. Should be good.
Feel free to contribute to the worthy charities should you wish, scan the QR code for more info.

Worlds youngest…

Have signed my youngest grandson, Henry, up for this Sundays Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
At only two years old he’ll be the youngest participant globally.!
He loves ‘Wum-Wums’, and is forever following me into the garage and picking up a spanner to ‘help’, so I signed him up and he’s going to join us for the start of the Lincolnshire ride at former RAF Wickenby airfield , complete with his own little electric Fireblade..
In addition he’s joined our Team (Drop Dead Dapper) and has already secured over £100 in donations..!
Sunday should be fun.. come along if you’re arable :+1:

The DGR has been going for 15 years and is taking place in 121 countries across the world to raise money for Men’s Health

Donate should you be feeling benevolent

A great day, and we managed to avoid the showers.

Our team, ‘Drop Dead Dapper’ has raised over £500 this year, with young Henry attracting over £160 of those donations :+1::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Every year I intend to join in but every year I forget and book myself up for something else instead. I was in the car on Sunday and saw loads of smartly dressed gentlemen on bikes. I wished I was joining them even though I’m generally a scruffy oik. Next year…

The missus and I have only done two, Hull last year, Lincolnshire this time. It’s a bit of fun and raises cash for worthy causes.

We’re think of doing a different venue each time, Barcelona maybe next year.. we’ll see :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Did the Bristol run . Over 400 bikes registered and over £22000 raised .
