I live in S Wales and I am trying to get an engine cutting out problem on my California. can anyone recommend a workshop/dealer who could look at it? I have just been let down by M&P Direct Cardiff who have cancelled an appt for next week that I booked several weeks ago and ThunderRoad Cwmbran are not taking bookings til end of June.

do you have a bundle of keys on a keyring along with the bikes ignition key ?
also has the fuel filter been replaced ?

Thanks for that, but it’s a bit too far.
The problem is that the bike will run for 10 or so miles before cutting out and then will not restart.
After a few minutes rest, it will restart then cut out again after a few more miles.
I think it is due to something getting warm but I have no clue what?
Have you checked to make sure that the fuel filler cap is not blocked ? some machines have a breather, while others have a small vent pipe going down by the battery
otherwise it could be a fault ignition unit or coil
I am sure that there is a member near you who could assist
Several friends have suggested the coil but I have neither the knowledge nor ability to remove/test/replace, which is why I’m hoping that someone can recommend a workshop that i can take it to withing striking distance of home.
Worth checking the cam sensor,
(it’s unlikely that both coils would stop working when hot)
