Looking for a bit of advice: would like to improve the lighting on my T3 for winter. So before I dive in and buy some cheap LED lights on EBay, does anyone have any recommendations?
I’m a cretin with electrickery so pro’s/con’s, things to look out for/avoid much appreciated.
TIA, Steve
I would avoud cheap LED’s on ebay and go for a reliable specialist company for these. Have a look at these people…

Thank you, Don. The link appears to relate to led bulbs only. I could do with advice regarding sourcing the entire lights.
If your reflector has deteriorated, they are a standard fitment on many 70’s cars such as minis and land rovers.
I have added a small extra LED light under the headlight on my Spada which was a cheapy thing off ebay. You can just see it under the fairing. Something like this LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT DRL FORD KA FIESTA FOCUS | eBay UK
This looks like a better alternative than simply adding a pair of led driving lights. I’m looking to improve the spread of light at night, particularly when travelling abroad as part of my (UK) headlight lens will be taped over. Do you find that the led below your headlight provides a good spread of light, Don?
It doesn’t illuminate the road at all, it’s just there to make the bike more visible to car drivers, I have it linked into the pilot light so comes on when I put the lights on, I suppose I could link it to an ignition live so it comes on with the ignition. I don’t always ride with the lights on.
Ah. I am definitely looking for increased illumination.
Your headlight bulb is probably a H4 you can get LED (canbus) bulbs to replace this. I have an LED replaced on my bike plus 2 extra lights fitted. All my lights are LED except the indicators. I ride with my lights on all the time. DZG H4 LED Headlight Bulbs 6000K White 12V High Low Beam Car Motorcycle Front Light, 1 Pc : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive
That’s great - thank you. I’ve ordered up a set of led driving lights recommended by a member and will look into replacing the main headlight bulb.
Many thanks for the helpful advice.
