East Devon branch resurrection?

Hi All,

I was talking to the proprietor of the Bluebell restaurant at Willand last night (their last bike night for 2026), and he mentioned that there were some Guzzi people along to his place on Saturday morning. I expressed my surprise and he said that a branch was trying to get going there. It’s local to me, but at present I run down to the West Devon Branch as and when I can.

On checking the MGCGB Branches section of the website, I see that there is a listing for a branch at this location. No posting on here though, which I think would be a good idea. If this branch is a go-er, could I make a suggestion? I see that meetings are set to be the first Saturday of the month. Unfortunately that is the same day as the West Devon Branch meetings. If the Mid-Devon Branch could be changed to the second or third Saturday of the month, this branch could perhaps get some overlap attendance with West Devon?

You need to send this to the Branch Liaison Officer, as there is a set process for starting new branches, and committee approval required. The person you need to contact has their details in Gambalunga. I know this as I have been that person myself in the past.

Hi Chris, thanks for this. However I presume that the contact now listed in the Branch information (Andrew Gear) on the MGCGB website will have already done this. I am not that person.
