Eldorado 1400 Front Wheel Removal

Does anybody know how to remove the front wheel from an Eldorado 1400 ? I have removed the caliper bolts and can slide the calipers upwards (rearwards) slightly but there is not enough room to remove the calipers from the discs as the caliper body hits the wheel rim.

Am I missing something simple?

Any ideas greatly accepted

Hi, either push the pads back into the calipers slightly or better still remove them. This allows you to angle the calipers enough to remove them.
